This is a completely restored original, 1954 16’ Chris-Craft Custom Outboard Runabout.

Restoration to show quality condition completed as of April 2009.

This boat is in TURN-KEY condition and is ready to use and enjoy. Also includes an excellent custom trailer.

The motor is a 1973 40 horsepower Mercury outboard with electric start, which has also been restored and is in outstanding & excellent running condition.

The restoration of the boat includes the following:

1. New premium-quality marine paint on hullsides, bottom and interior.
2. Deck, seats, dash and all interior/exterior brightwork have several new coats of imported, highest UV protection clear, high-gloss varnish.
3. Deck hardware includes 4 new stainless steel trimmed step pads, 6 new chrome teardrop bumper cleats, 2 new chromed rope chocks on forward deck, new (removable) stern light, reconditioned original bow light with traditional red & blue lenses, restored mahogany bow pole with new cotton Chris-Craft red pennant (with proper flag clips). Stern light has new cotton yacht ensign.
4. All switches (horn button, lights, bilge pump and cigarette lighter/cell phone/spotlight socket) and all wiring associated (with in-line fuses) are new.
5. New horn.
6. New carpet throughout.
7. All exposed fasteners were replace with new, stainless-steel fasteners.
8. New bilge pump (500 GPH) with new bronze thru-hull and hose/clamps.
9. New transom drain plug assembly.
10. New cable steering.
11. New speedometer with new pitot tube and pickup assembly.
12. New bumpers and ropes.
13. New windshield rubber gaskets.
14. New Chris-Craft decals.
15. New battery & fire extinguisher.

The restoration of the motor includes:

1. New prop.
2. New impeller.
3. 1 new coil.
4. Rebuilt fuel pump.
5. Rebuilt carb.
6. New foot fluid.
7. New Vacuum hose.
8. New spark plugs.

Motor has excellent compression (registered at 125 lbs. equally on both cylinders). Motor also includes a comprehensive service manual for this model and year.
